It is an early spring day in lower Manhattan, and Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi are back on the block where it all began, a little over ten years ago. It was at 181 Thompson Street that the newly formed trio managed to capture the energy generated by Rich and Mario nearby, at Torrisi Italian Specialties, to breathe new life into a culinary style that few chefs of their caliber would have considered worthy of their devotion. Very quickly, The New York Times would conclude that the three friends had succeeded in reviving "the raw power of a genre everyone considers uncultured and a little embarrassing, while revealing the sophistication that had always lurked within it."

Ten years after its creation, CARBONE by Major Food Group has become a New York institution: a must-visit destination attracting endless crowds, constantly making headlines, and illuminating Thompson Street every evening with the warm red glow of its iconic neon sign. Driven by a long interview with writer Gabe Ulla and exclusive photography by Oliver Pilcher, this work captures an evening at the restaurant in all its vibrant and soulful glory.

    Delivery within Paris

    Paris and nearby suburbs (up to 10 km from the showroom): €39, by courier or by our team. We confirm the date as soon as we receive your order.

    Delivery on quotation

    For French overseas territories and countries without an online rate, choose “Delivery on quotation” (“Livraison sur devis”) at checkout: delivery to the freight forwarder of your choice in France or Europe, or a full study for delivery to your door. We contact you with options and costs before anything is shipped: nothing leaves without your approval.

    Customs

    Outside the European Union (United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, United States, Canada…), any customs duties and import taxes are not collected when you order: they may be requested on delivery and are payable by the recipient.

    Packaging, tracking and delivery

    • Every order is carefully packed, with extra protection for fragile pieces. Palletised lighting is delivered by appointment.
    • As soon as your order ships, you receive your tracking number by e-mail.
    • On delivery, check the parcel in front of the driver. If it is damaged, write precise reservations on the delivery note, or refuse it if the damage is unacceptable, then let us know as soon as possible, with photos.
