Daniel Pembrey is the author of the Henk van der Pol detective books, a series of detective novels set in Amsterdam. As a journalist, Pembrey has contributed to Architectural Digest, The Telegraph, Condé Nast Traveler, The Independent and the Financial Times. A die-hard 007 fan and frequent editorial contributor at EON, the production company behind the James Bond film franchise, Pembrey lives just across the King's Road from Bond's fictional apartment in Chelsea, London.
