Ferrari 250 GTO chassis 4219 GT model car
Mamie Spears Reynolds was the first owner of the Ferrari 250 GTO bearing chassis number 4219 GT. She was the daughter of former U.S. Senator from North Carolina Robert Reynolds (linked to the tobacco industry) and Evalyn McLean Roberts (owner of a prosperous mining company, McLean, and former owner of the famous Hope Diamond).
She went to New York to purchase a Ferrari race car intended for the Daytona Continental race from Luigi Chinetti, senior. It was on this occasion that she met Luigi Chinetti, junior ("Coco"), her future husband for a short period, before their divorce, between July 28, 1963, and September 14, 1965.
The next owner, Brandon Wang, presented this GTO at the Concorso d'eleganza Villa D’Este in 2006. The scale model, a faithful replica of the car that participated in the competition, was produced by the BBR workshops in Italy.
