Description
Discover a masterpiece of art and craftsmanship with this special edition of Living with Chamberlain — a must-have for discerning collectors.
Limited to just 200 copies, each edition is a work of art in its own right, featuring a unique sculptural element made from recycled metals directly from Chamberlain's studio, as well as a rare limited-edition print from 1990 signed by the artist.
Presented in a luxurious rigid flap box, this edition is a rare and exceptional tribute to Chamberlain's lasting legacy. Far more than a book, it is a collector's item — bold, tactile, and deeply connected to the very spirit of the artist.
With a foreword by Rick Owens, and interviews and conversations with family, friends, gallerists, and collectors, this intimate and personal volume reveals how Chamberlain's art has touched the lives of so many people, reflecting the diversity of his artistic expressions. Among the many anecdotes, collectors Bruce and Barbara Berger recount how they traded a refrigerator for a Chamberlain sculpture in 1972; Yvonne Force Villareal shares how she met her husband, artist Leo Villareal, at a Chamberlain sofa exhibition; fashion designer Matthew Williams and artist Solange Knowles each recount their personal experience with Chamberlain's art and its influence on their own work; designer Vera Wang tells how a chance meeting at the MoMA gave birth to an unlikely and late friendship with the artist.
