Brigitte Bardot Intime Assouline Book
Description
Brigitte Bardot: Intime is an intimate journey into the life of an icon, through the eyes of a friend who knew her so well. This book reveals the contents of a remarkable discovery: a suitcase filled with previously unpublished negatives, found in the attic of Jicky Dussart, a renowned photographer and close friend of Bardot. This collection offers a rare and deeply personal portrait of one of France's most iconic actresses, capturing moments between her glamorous life in Saint-Tropez and the unforgettable films that helped forge her legend—and her legacy. These photographs also show the actress away from the spotlight at La Madrague, her home in Saint-Tropez, spending time with her friends, dancing, singing, and caring for animals.
In collaboration with Bardot herself, French writer Fabrice Gaignault—who has known her since childhood thanks to the close friendship between his parents and the actress—creates an unfiltered narrative that brings these evocative images to life, enriched by the actress's words and reflections as she revisits the photographs by his side. Her voice, tender and free, resonates throughout the pages, adding emotion and sincerity to this intimate portrait.
