About the Author
Italian academic, curator and author Alba Cappellieri, Ph.D., is head of the Jewelry and Fashion Accessories department at Politecnico di Milano, where she directs the International Masters in Fashion Accessories. From 2013 to 2016, she taught Design Driven Innovation at Stanford University. In 2014, she founded and until 2021 directs the Jewelry Museum of Vicenza. She has curated several international jewelry exhibitions and her recent publications include Van Cleef & Arpels: Time, Nature, Love (Skira, 2022), Jewels of the Twentieth Century: From Art Nouveau to 3D Printing (Skira, 2018), Chains : Jewelery in History, function and ornament (Silvana, 2018) and Buccellati: a century of timeless beauty (Assouline, 2021).
Christopher Young is Creative Director, Vice President of Creative Visual Merchandising, Events and Tiffany Archives for Tiffany & Co. He is responsible for the global creative development of all storefronts, product presentation, brand storytelling, of creative development and the Tiffany archives. . He recently oversaw the groundbreaking Vision & Virtuosity Tiffany & Co. exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London, which received critical acclaim. In addition, Young also illustrates for Tiffany, including the children's book The Winter Carousel and other global creative campaigns.
